The Parnell Hotel & Conference Centre Limited is a registered charity under the Charities Act 2005. Registration No: CC38203. The Hotel is owned by the Norman Barry Foundation, a charitable trust registered under the Charities Act 2005. Registration number is CC33047. The Foundation was setup after the passing of the Hotel’s Founder and Owner, Norman F B Barry. The Foundation along with the Hotel support many community, health and research causes with through charitable donations.

Over the period 2015—2020, The Parnell Hotel & Conference Centre Limited and the Norman Barry Foundation have collectively given over $2,400,000 in charitable donations to a number of local and national organisations, these larger donations include:

  • KiwiNet  $575,000
  • Liggins Institute $450,000
  • AL Rae Centre $250,000
  • SciPoDs $150,000
  • Two Cars Blind and Low Vision NZ

 

Annual donations totalling $150,000 to the following organisations include:

Coast Guard Northern Region; Stroke Foundation; Auckland Cystic Fibrosis Association; Blind and Low Vision NZ, Sisters of Mercy; Auckland City Mission; St John; Child Cancer Foundation; SPCA; Special Children’s Christmas Party, Yellow Eyed Penguin Trust; Heart Foundation and the Salvation Army.
